Ok, so technically (or necessarily as Josh would say) it isn’t Summer anymore, but we F I N A L L Y got around to making slime. For real. Not slime that ended up being a gooey ball or a clumpy mess. And it turned out pretty cool. You see the thing we were missing was water. Once we used water in the concoction, it worked great!
First you have to mix the 1 cup water and the 1/2 tsp of Borax in one bowl and the 1/2 cup water, the entire bottle of glue and the food coloring in another bowl.
Mix both well, then pour the Borax mix into the glue mix.
Almost immediately it make slime. Mix it as well as you are able.
The boys put the slime in a ziplock bag and played with it while it was still good. It was a little more solid and not as runny. Josh liked slicing it with a knife and watching it ooze back together. After a few days, it wouldn’t go back together, so we tossed it. It was fun while it lasted though. Definitely worth the wait!
